Lost At Sea

my head bobs and I am shoved around by waves sent to sink

me swallowing the bitterness of the waves surf that leaves me breathless the

lifeboats — engines on full

chasing away from me — leaving me

stranded as I start

searching for some heart in all that

life out there — eyes blurred gongoozling through the tangled eyelashes of my

glassy stare the currents trying to pull me down invisible demons of an oceans

evil mind there’s no noise

no calling no need to broadcast to the

world your extended hand it came in and

out at first — the light you shone it was when the darkness set

in and stayed you became my lighthouse on

my crumbling cliffs
